It'd be hilariously blatant if they could somehow just rules-lawyer their way into saying "actually superdelegates can vote on the first ballot this time, and they're all voting for Biden lol"

Again, in 08 the rules stated that the Florida and Michigan delegations could not be seated, but they changed the rules during the start of the convention so that they could. In this case it was more about image than anything, but there is nothing formal that prevented them from doing the same in the case where it would change the outcome of the primary.

Yeah if Bernie walks into the convention with the popular mandate their only recourse is to nuke everyone and everything. It would mean no Bernie, but also self destruction... Which they might choose lol.

Changing the superdelegate rules prior to the the first ballot would be the end of the democratic party. Yes they are dumb and hate Bernie, but I don't know if they are willing to self immolate quite so obviously and in a building/streets stuffed with Bernie delegates and supporters.

They really think they found the thing that works, huh? Hammer on the Rogan endorsement and try to play up both the hatefulness and what it means to accept an endorsement to peel away LGBTQ supporters. Dunno if it'll work but it appears centrists really think it will and they're gonna hammer on this until Bernie gives in or until Iowa, whichever comes first.

The DNC leadership is why Bernie must not only win a simple majority of delegates, he must completely annihilate all these other Dem jokers so that everyone up for re-election will fear getting primaried themselves if they don't bend the knee.

Rogan said he thinks transwomen should not be allowed to compete in pro sports with non-trans women. Not saying I agree with his take, but as far as transphobic things go, pretty loving mild. edit: Rasmussen did a poll and found 51% of Americans would agree with Joe, and 29% disagree, with 20% undecided.
