This is especially notable as Derek Mackay has been touted as a favourite to replace Sturgeon if she gets caught up in the fallout of the Alex Salmond trial. EDIT: I see, it's the front page of The Scottish Sun. Okay forkboy84 fucked around with this message at 01:35 on Feb 6, 2020 |

I'll give it credence as anything more than run of the mill homophobia from a shitrag when it's coming from a source moderately more believable. And yes, Joanna Cherry is probably the favourite to replace Sturgeon now, though her being at Westminster would be seen as a black mark. Unfortunately her being a TERF shitbag would not be. I'd not be shocked if they end up with John Swinney caretaker run & then Angus Robertson becoming permanent leader after winning a Holyrood seat.

I'm aware that I'm getting into territory here but Radio 4 has had, for the last two bulletins, a story about a record number of antisemitism incidents in the UK followed by a story about someone driving a car into a queue of mostly IDF soldiers outside a nightclub in Jerusalem. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Beeb doesn't normally report on terrorist incidents - even ones resulting in deaths - in Israel, does it? Why is this story deserving of fourth or fifth slot in the headlines? And right next to a story about antisemitism?

The only sensible way to decide on military action is for a small secretive group whose composition and minutes are not subject to public scrutiny, but almost certainly includes an unelected spiritual leader and her adult ephebophile sons, to review the secret intelligence data from several organizations that routinely break the law but face no consequences, then for 650 landlords, most of whom weren't involved in the discussion, to vote on it

That doesn't mean that it is directly answerable to members while elected, putting that much power in the hands of members would be absurd.
