What about the scene where he's meeting a diplomat from Africa, and they play giant darts with native spears.

I can't be sure, but someone may have used the term "spear-chucker" during that scene.

Same.

And I'm surprised people remember anything about this movie outside of the phrase Spotted Dick.

Yeah, I remember that scene and I think you might be correct. But he makes up for it in the end.

The one scene that stood out for me when he escapes Buckingham Palace and goes to Burger King. Only to have his Whopper torn away.

A beautiful film.

My friend just had a son and was thinking of naming him Ralph. I was all: yeah, like King Ralph! He didn’t get the reference.

"Jesus, did I say that? Or just think it? Was I talking? Did they hear me?"
King Ralph was a prescient film with regards to the eventual American infiltration and destruction of the British Royal family.

Yes, but again; it was not a ploy to start a war.

There are definitely executives who have weird ideas for rules about movies. For example, the MST3K crew have complained that when they made their movie the studio insisted that nobody wanted to see a comedy longer than 80 minutes.

I'm inclined to agree. A comedy should not drag on, especially if they have serious parts in the third act.

ALL movies should either be 78 minutes with credits or three hours and nothing in-between.

It's been getting decent reviews, and apparently the disappointing box office was also heavily affected by certain events well beyond the film production's control.
