You'd think of all people, firefighters would know not to be doing dumbass poo poo like this. Who am I kidding though, firefighters love pulling stunts like that all the time.

My little town hosts a lot of campgrounds for the bikers to stay during the LoneStar biker rally in galveston. Right across from the park someone just built a Drive-thru Daiquiri business. I can't wait to see bikers lined up to get roadies during this year's rally. Not that it will even make a difference since they already sell them copious amounts of lovely beer in galveston, then they ride back out to the sticks to camp.

No helmet laws in IL, but I only one time was on a bike without one, and that was to move it to another spot in the parking lot. Helmet, gloves, jacket, boots all the time. I was more lax on pants.

There is an extremely blurred line between being a 'Tex' Johnson and being a 'Bud' Holland, the only real distinction is whether you get a closed casket burial shortly after your stunt. Johnson probably would have and should have gotten shitcanned today

If you’re going ten tenths on a regular basis then maybe, but over the few years of daily commuting, my helmet has turned “face shredded” into “helmet scuffed” and “concussion” into “light jostle”. I walked away from an 80mph highside because of my gear; no way I’d have survived landing on my face without a drat good helmet. Also in the event of road rage, you can just headbutt the other fool. Higher end cycle gear is basically civilian grade riot armor these days.

I was joking, ATGATT is the only way to go if you really want to ride motorbikes. It is just funny to me when people put on the protective gear for just their head. Make sure they're fully conscious while they get grated.
