Craptacular! posted:“Well maybe all my opponents will die” isn’t a reasonable policy position. Every time someone says "Medicare for All isn't practical and here's why" or "Yeah the 'Green Dream' or whatever'" they're just saying "I think some people should die for political reasons" and I don't think the fact that they obscure what they're saying makes it less reprehensible, so saying "It would own like hell if Pelosi and Feinstein died from COVID-19" is actually totally fine and good.

I don't know wtf is going on in Newsom's head but this first tweet is misleading. The Grand Princess had actually docked back in February from a different cruise, and the article the guy linked describes how that first cruise failed to be quarantined. The second cruise that just docked on Monday is being quarantined. This brings up the very good question of why the first cruise wasn't quarantined and the ship wasn't locked down to prevent further cruises. Major fuckup.

lolCal Poly President posted:I know that some of you have concerns or questions about Cal Poly's response. The attached video addresses many of the questions and concerns that have been communicated to my office, and explains in more detail how Cal Poly is responding, and why. Please take a few minutes to watch it here. The link is to a video of the President explaining why we're doing nothing yet. This is similar to the videos the President kept having to put out after all the blackface incidents a little while ago. Strong leadership! Edit: Spring quarter delayed a week, to give faculty more time to prepare for the possibility of online-only instruction. CPColin fucked around with this message at 18:25 on Mar 12, 2020 |
