I don’t think Igni has anywhere near the range Aard has. And I don’t think it gets you the instant kill option once they’re down.

So I am returning back to this after a long hiatus, but to me it seems that the quality of the side quests has kind of nosedived now that I am in Skellige. Maybe I am looking at them with rose tinted glasses, but I just had a side quest that basically was go here, kill some dudes, and retrieve item. But the way it ended made it sound like there was another resolution to it, but I looked it up and nope. There is only one way it can end. I probably should stop taking notice board missions and just stick to ones that are attached to the main story characters.

Tbh I actually liked that one because the quest giver is so upset at the end. There are lots of quality skellige ones so you'd be missing a lot of content.

If you stop using notice boards, how are you going to start HoS? (notice boards have some nice quests too)

I will keep a lookout and keep doing them then. I did the Black Pearl quest and it kind of hints at more but it just ends too.

iirc, that quest is a nice short and personal story. Not everything needs to be an epic adventure.

How's Thronebreaker? It's on sale over at Steam and while I really enjoy playing Gwent, watching videos makes it seem very slow paceg..

yeah it only really works at the start of a fight before baddies can close in on you shoots arrows out of the air though

Since you can see most fights coming and you can run around to create spacing, I never had a problem with the cast time.

I really wish the skill trees were different. Really locks you in to a build and all the cool poo poo is just too far away. Finished the main quest a few days ago. Unfortunately totally forgot to take Ciri to Emhyr so she was stuck being a Witcher. Rest of the endings were ok. Time to start B&W. Since I finished HoS before I tackled the Isle of Mists.

Can you still get the witcher ending if you take Ciri to see Emhyr? Or does that lock you in to the Empress path?

Holy poo poo grandmaster stuff is expensive. Guess I'm gonna be mass selling French bandit's swords. Playing the FCR3 mod. I like it overall. Doing a signs/combat build and Griffin gear but gonna change to Wolven once I have all the stuff made. Igni with high sign strength is alot of fun.

If you explore a lot, yes. Note that unless you go for the Cluster Bomb upgrade stuff like grapeshot will fall behind on damage rapidly. I'm pretty sure I had all Superior alchemy stuff before Kaer Morhen at least. There's a build out there using Manticore armor and stacking crit damage to make cluster bombs actually damaging as gently caress even at level 40 but by then I was still having more fun slicing things. Also by then I was saving skill points to expand the mutations mostly for fun. Ravenfood fucked around with this message at 17:57 on Mar 27, 2020 |
