We are all quite capable of believing in anything as long as it's improbable.

So definitely go in below 90%. But I’ve been seeing patients with really bad bilateral pneumonia that still have saturations of 95% so there really isn’t a hard and fast rule. Best thing to do is estimate how many feet you can walk before becoming short of breath and describe that to your doctor.

I mean we're not going to see 10 million dead in the US, but "it's just the flu" is an incredibly stupid take at this point.

if you check "Total Coronavirus Cases in the United States" and set to logarithm, it will include a smoothing of the curve. I don't know how that much is a effect of lack of testing or real, but gives some hope.

Lol NY has decided to only test people who are hospitalized now.

I accidentally opened a piece of mail intended for my neighbor (in my mailbox, same first name, one letter off my apartment number), it was a hand addressed envelope with a 6 pack of disposable gloves. Now my neighbor probably thinks I'm sabotaging his isolation efforts and or trying to infect him myself.

My big surprises so far have been deBlasio going full deathcrew and the eerie silence from midwestern towns with 50+% obesity

Grats, they're your gloves now, if it ends up in your mailbox it's yours.

I accidentally got a letter to my next door neighbor that denied him a job because he failed a piss test. Went right into the trash lol.

I work as a contractor for a big tech company out here in the seattle area. my office is on the east side so not walkable at all and would require two buses to get to since I don’t have a car. because of some technical reasons I don’t fully understand, I need to connect my computer to the big tech company’s WiFi once a month or I lose trust and get locked out of application/documents that I need to do my job. I technically could request VPN access but for some reason my sponsor is super against that and my boss is telling me and my team to not do that. they were going to get us non-domaines laptops as an alternative but apparently they aren’t able to due to shortages now. they say we have to go in to the office and connect.

wtf do I do? rent a Zipcar and hope no one was spreading the corona in it before me? ride the bus? is it even legal to tell me to come in for this reason right now?
