I quit smoking over a year ago, got a mod vape with high nicotine juice and smoked a bunch of weed, only sucked for the first week or so then it was easy. Went out to vape in my "smoking spot" (balcony) helped a lot I think.

Also the moral superiority/authority/objectivity of the vague idea of "science" is bullshit and always has been. Science, like statistics, is done by fallible people and used by the ruling class to justify their horrific policies. Phrenology was "science," Mengele was a "scientist," you can find "science" to back up whatever snake oil bullshit or genocidal policy you want to sell. I'm not saying all science is useless by any means, but I am saying appeals to the authority of science in trying to build socialism has some serious limits. Science first and foremost has to be replicatable and as long as the means to conduct science remains in the hands of the rich and powerful it should be viewed skeptically.
