also, because economy/currency is crashing here even harder because of... let's say poor policies by the government, they insist we have to unlock the country next week. to facilitate that, they're instituting mandatory mask wearing. where are we gonna get the masks? nobody knows. the gov sure as poo poo ain't sendin' them. oh yeah, and the peak of the epidemic by their own admission will be end of april at the earliest. and we have elections 10th of may which the ruling party really really really doesn't want to move since they know their approval is gonna begin to nosedive lmfao.

i like fauci as much as anyone else but i wonder why he thought it was a good idea to predict 60k deaths given the population differences 5x the number of current deaths in italy (85k) would be my optimistic prediction. its optimistic because the current deaths in italy are not the final number of deaths in italy and because the population multiplier is more like 5.5

one of the other things ive noticed that makes it difficult in my state to keep a read on anything is the governor speaks at a different time every day, so you cant really compare numbers as some are for an 18 hour cycle, some are 27, etc. theres just no good data on this thing.
