Also for real I'm probably just gonna save it because my girlfriend still doesnt have a real job and it wont be as funny in three months when no more checks arrive and I've been laid off and my bullshit job stops existing because even the large companies are bleeding money Its gonna suck if I use it to pay rent and die from covid a week later though

slave to my cravings posted:not trying to start an argument or whatever but is it peaceable assembly if it’s a threat to public health/safety? The original text said "The people shall not be restrained from peaceably assembling and consulting for their common good", but like a lot of the amendments it got whittled down to the shortest, vaguest version possible. Which isn't a great starting point when it comes to legal interpretation.

Just read the Elentor LP f you want to. I've been doing what I can, making face shields, using family and business connections to put together people who normally don't do business (paint mixing company, distillery supplier) to start making hand sanitizer with modest retooling of the mixers, and other poo poo as well. Get in the pit and commit to some praxis, it feels good.

The Dutch prime Minister is giving a speech in front of a background that says "only together we will get Corona under control" but the way the shot is framed today pretty much the only part you can see is the part that says "together we will get Corona," written over and over behind his face

I probably won’t get one though. I already have an 870 that I’ve used for sporting clays since boy scouts. I might buy a 20” smooth bore barrel with rifle sights for it and call it a day.

Admiral Ray posted:read this good COVID-19 blog i found u nerds I read the latest entry and some of the second-latest entry, and this jumps out at me: quote:The take-home message on Covid19 immunity is pretty clear, and hopeful: while immunity to MERS and SARS coronaviruses may not last decades or be lifelong, immunity to SARS and MERS develops quickly during the acute illness, is robust, and persists for months to years in recovered patients. I thought the conversation was that corona immunity was short-lived? This is the first time I've seen someone saying that an immunity is likely to last "months to years". Anyway, the blog is full of good info so I added it to the OP.

SKULL.GIF posted:I read the latest entry and some of the second-latest entry, and this jumps out at me: Short lived in the sense of lifetime immunity, like our immunity to Chicken Pox or similar. The issue is that, for whatever reason, some substantial number of people (maybe 30% if this reporting can be verified) may not produce the amount of antibodies necessary to provide that immunity, or may only produce them for a short period of time. edit: Also, Rodriguez (the author of that blog), is speculating based on information we have for SARS and MERS. While a pretty safe speculation to make since they are both closely related coronaviruses, it could still be overturned by the actual data on this virus. this poo poo is so infuriating. my town just put out a simiilar advisory, but if you're still walking around the neighborhood no need for a mask. it's such bullshit to have ridiculous discretion for people to be like well, is this sidewalk actually busy? eh gently caress it no it isnt why bother it needs to be straight up when leaving your property you wear a mask, no ifs ands or buts
