If you enjoy screaming "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?" at your TV over and over even when you don't give a poo poo who wins the game, Jameis and Allen are in a tier by themselves. On the terrible-and-also-boring end of the spectrum are the guys who just miss every throw by 10 feet when they don't just meekly give up and get sacked, which is Trubisky and whoever the guys were who played for the Steelers last year

I mean it's news & it's relevant to today's climate, but it's such a :geno: announcement to make.

Sean Payton testing positive for COVID-19 was bigger news, and that happened (checks notes) March 19.

Who's going to be the 1st QB to test positive for COVID-19?

I mean maybe he knew and was waiting for permission to release the information (which would be a good thing), but hyping the announcement is straight up ghoulish right now.

And hyping it probably means he wasn't really waiting for anything.

It would be a HIPAA violation for a medical provider to tell Glazer, but I think he's free to publish whatever.

Was there any legitimate reason why the Jags completely dismantled their championship caliber defense like they were the Florida Marlins?

Sounds like Coughlin was a big piece, but a great defense needs a lot more individual pieces rhan a great offense. Even a minor change in personnel can alter the chemistry of the whole unit. When a whole lot of players break out at once they get real expensive and it's tough to keep the squad together. Just ask the LOB.

A good defense doesn't stay good as long as a good offense does either, so when it comes time to pay people is usually the time it's over

This entire post is correct, but I dont think this can be emphasized enough. The Jags lead the entire league in player grievances for fines by a wiiiide margin, so much so that the NFLPA was actively telling players to stay away from Jacksonville if possible.

Schwartz really likes to cook. Honestly, for a lineman, that's a pretty decent meal. I remember stories from linemen that retire about having to eat boxes of ice cream daily just to keep mass.

Yeah their diets basically become pro power lifter style.

Matt Kalil when he was a rookie said the hardest part was the diet. He would be out with friends and every few hours he had to stop what he was doing and down a 3k calorie protein shake to keep his weight up.

Its also why you see retired lineman like Matt Birk drop 70-80 lbs within an year of retiring.
