Instead of just a simple rolling average you could probably do a renormalization that uses previous data and an assumption of a smooth day independent curve but that's pretty complicated and who cares really. Everyone has already given up and are bored with 2,000 daily deaths. Oahu went from several days of zero new cases to two yesterday and three today and walking around you can already see people getting lax so I assume it is going to hover in the single digits before starting to rise again.

Irradiation posted:But a 7 day average ensures that the weekend lulls are always there to make the number look lower. It means the value actually should be plotted 3.5 days ago. You don't escape the high mid-week numbers, they are included in the average. You just can't say what number today is because we need several days in the future to be included in the average.

Optimus_Rhyme posted:Tide Pod President? No, I pick Product X President! monday, april 27 It's killing our young people now! with a stroke - just one even, fewer strokes than I need, you know. I'm a pretty good golfer, not the best, but I've played with some of the best and they say Mr Trump you've got a pretty good swing. Pretty good. Great foundation. But these strokes, not the good kind, nasty strokes - being caused by blood clots you see, the blood, it gets all gummy - stops it up, like hotdogs, in your kidneys! little golfballs in the brain. Imagine that. Awful stuff. now I'd like you to hear from my friend Dick Macaroni - he's a great businessman, longtime friend. an "anticoagulant" expert - we're learning new words every day, every day folks - to come up here and talk a bit about something the doctors should really look into, brodifacoum. great results in animal trials, really great, we think maybe could it stop these clots forever.
