This was all remembered from a magazine article of CIA interrogation from a while ago.

I legitimately feared that when Trump became president that would happen, that assorted Alt Right types would form hit squads. They'd hit all the imagined foes of the Alt Right and Trump; professors at universities, journalists, BLM and other activists and so on. They'd do it openly because Trump would just pardon them or the Justice Department would swoop in and take over the case and let them walk. Though it turns out they're all cowards and couldn't organize a July 4th BBQ without it becoming a giant shitshow.
