And this thing that Rich did this time is really just so horrible and so embarrasing to be associated with that I think there will be a migration this time. I know SA has an insane number of discrete Discord servers already, and that there’s a not small amount of controversy about the administration/administrators of those existing servers, but if there’s interest in a completely independent one for the selfies thread I’m happy to stand one up just for us. I should be able to get that done tonight unless anyone has strong opposition; I don’t want to fraction where and how we get our entertainment, but I think it would be nice to stay in touch with one another in this community Bird and Pastry have helped foster.

I'm thinking less restricting goons in general, but more for keeping it off the radar of people with axes to grind with the forums. I joined more than a few. Some for keeping in touch, but mostly so I can find out where this diaspora calls home next.

I'm not a frequent poster here, but this thread has been one of my favorites for just seeing everyone being so positive, upbeat, and supportive of one another. The only better thread has been the Chicago local thread through which I have met some amazing people who I am happy I'll be able to keep in touch with if the site goes away. But I'll really miss the people I only know through their avatars and posts. I'd love to get in on the selfie discord. Probable final post on this dumb website. Me at my favorite place in the world  and my new best friend in the world: my cousin's 6 month old puppy who just goes apeshit around me, it's so great!  (Okay she doesn't look too excited here, but we'd been playing catch and tug-o-war with that toy for like 45 minutes. She's just a little pup.) Hope to post with you all in the future. You're good people.

I don't post here in this thread much cos I'm shy , but it's always been one I check in on because you are all so lovely and so uplifting (ceramic pig, I have NEVER seen anyone look so glorious, so triumphantly happy as you do in your wedding dress picture, and Scatach, I hope your wedding is entirely perfect ) but this current disaster is so incredibly lovely. If this were a town and our mayor were revealed to be an abuser, we'd gently caress him/her out or office and move on, but it seems like the only real option for an online community is to fracture and collapse because one shitbag at the centre can't be excised. It's incredibly sad and unnecessary. If he'd even a fragment of character he'd step away and leave this island of mostly good people to keep going, keep connecting, but knowing abusers, he'll hang on to the bitter end and burn it all down before admitting fault. You are all wonderful and I hope we can find a way to stay together <3
