On the topic of niche mech game drama this seems a fine time to repeat that one of the MechWarrior Living Legends devs is a straight up original flavor Jews did the Holocaust German Nazi. Nobody plays that game though so it’s probably not relevant to many here.

You can get a lot better control over a walker or tank if you switch from screen absolute to relative controls, so you get better control over which direction your vehicle goes and better ability to rapidly switch directions and go fast on the fly. It's a bit harder to get into but worth it if you want to put the time in.
