basically if trump and bolsanaro hadnt staked so much of their legitimacy on making this red line go uP, and implemented any kind of competent coronavirus response, they would have 70+ positive approval even if thousands of people are dead, and sweep reelection but they are constitutionally incapable of doing so, and god willing, lets post the trump campaign realizing they're going to die under trump

Bernie bux expiring at the end of next month is going to be an event almost unprecedented in US history, and if he mails out a check for 10k to every man woman and child in this country to see them through he'll win 35 states minimum. If (when lol) the Dems finger wag about moral hazards and come out in opposition to the GOP and members of their party who support the measure, Trump wins 45 states progressive Dems have already shown they're willing to caucus with anybody no matter how loathed by the party it takes to get something like an emergency UBI passed, and as time goes on there's going to be more and more of them willing to tell Pelosi and Schumer to eat poo poo on the issue, esp after it's become obvious that chud Dems are just one progressive challenger away from having to get a real job
