I think I may leave this game after re-subbing for a month. I use to play hardcore when we were in GoonFleet fighting BOB and then the entire game but I just don't get any enjoyment from the game anymore. Everything seems to be a grind, I just don't have time to make decent amount of ISK or play for hours in the hope for a fleet fight. I dislike the pay to win element that CCP have brought in. Yeah I know that paying to win the game doesn't give you skill but it removes the feeling of achievement when you earn something.

You can pay to lose, but winning involves having more friends than the other guy and CCP hasn't figured out out to sell people friends.

If you have time left try doing non-null sec stuff. gently caress around in wormholes for a bit and see if you like it. The game mechanics there feel more interesting to me but ymmv

BUSA, NESW and Bat Country leaving was the beginning of the real end.

Grindy undocked PvE (even lucrative grinds - I was blazing L4 pirate burner missions) is both incredibly unappealing and unrealistic now that I have a tiny human crawling around. T2 industry seems a lot more accessible than when I last played so I'll see how that works out with an irregular login cycle. I do still have my P4 factories and my P4 spreadsheets seem to still work, but ugh at trying to scale that beyond one character.Rutibex posted:You can't really "pay to win" at EVE. One of the reasons I can't be bothered with the game is because I logged back into my tengu in dekelein after years of being away. Traveled 40 jumps to high sec then just got insta-killed by Trig. This happened within 2 hours of be coming back to the game. I know eve is hardcore mode for games but gently caress I am too old to be wasting my time playing like this.

I'm still not fully up to speed on all of this new alien stuff. Until they killed those Horde JFs I was happily flying through their systems (granted always in an interceptor/frigate/pod)  Do they leave you alone once you have standings, and is CONCORD still a thing in those systems? Asking for a me.

Evecom doesn't shoot you until you are -1.0 with them. Trigs shoot you until you have any positive rep with them.

Low level agents are giving them missions and lead into instant death with no alternative pathways into a target system. Its loving dumb on levels never seen before in eve. And turning a highsec system into a nullsec system, forever, seems incredibly dumb considering how highsec is mapped out. loving with highsec at a massive level is going to dumpster this game. There are systems in which you can't go around it. This is going to get worse the longer it goes on. I tried to do high sec PvE freighting of soda and dirt and got blown up going from a 1.0 to a 0.9 so I think space is just dangerous ya know
