I think the nucleus around which that hate can form is an unspecific feeling that you, personally, are being hosed over, as evidenced by the fact your life is not exactly how you wish it to be, and, by God, it's someone else's fault! If you're being specifically targeted by actual, real things that exist, it's easy to focus your frustration on whatever is targeting you. If your life is just a shambolic mess because you're a fuckup, then you start looking around for things to blame. For example, if your wife leaves because you're an emotionally unavailable, lazy manchild who wishes to be waited upon hand and foot, instead of interrogating your own contributions to the situation, you may decide that, really, the problem is feminism telling women they shouldn't have to put up with that poo poo. If you notice that your D-average failson can't get into a good university because they spent the entirety of high school smoking weed and watching porn, then perhaps you will reason that the problem can't possibly be related to you, but is instead related to affirmative action taking away your son's inherent right to be a useless fuckup with no consequences.

Hell, the defenses of Trump are that if it weren't for that nasty "Deep State" then he would be making the economy great again and all of us could go work in factories for enough money to afford a house! And it would mainly show random stuff probably meant to subtlely make you think that it was dangerous, or that they were silly stupid. Like natural disasters to make you think 'poo poo I wouldn't like to be there!', and weird traditions to make you think 'haha stupid foreigners'. Some are like '300 shot dead in riots in Whatchaistan' with no context why then 5 seconds later 'look at them throwing tomatoes at each other at this festival haha!' Great at making you think the US was the only sane safe country.

Yeah, when I talk to my Trump-loving and Fox news devouring relatives, they cite the same issues I do. They just differ massively on the causes (not conservativing hard enough), and the solution is always to either kick out or destroy a group of the "other" (defund gubment, remove illegals, etc.).

Not all children who are savagely beaten by their parents grow up to be abusive. Yet, when you control for other factors, it becomes clear that the savage beatings are, in fact, the problem. There’s probably more to it in the sense that the human brain is extremely complicated, and what makes people people is entirely beyond our understanding at this point, but when you find a common trigger shared by all or most of the people you’re trying to “fix,” that’s the thing you worry about.

I kinda want to put this here since I know the CEO's of Apple, Google, Amazon and FB had their thing today. My post would get buried in USPOL thread and whatever. Real curious how RWM reported on this since I know Trump hates Bezos and thinks FB and Google are biased. Christ, is there anything these whiny bitches don't think has a liberal bias? But the thing that made me sad is not one congressperson inquired about the deplorable working conditions for any of these companies, which I've come to understand universally suck - Amazon in particular - where these workers are basically slaves. If I were a member of congress, that's what I'd be asking about, along with privacy concerns but that ship has already loving sailed and you're naive if you think otherwise. Back on track though, I'm still really curious what angle FOX and AM radio took regarding this since it's Big Government coming down on the free market but, at the same time, they bitch about at least two of these "job creator" CEO's and, of course, none of them care about monopolies and poo poo like that. I hate to give FOX any clicks so maybe someone can tell me how they're parsing this since it's so self contradicting in so many ways. If i had to guess, I'd assume they're being selective and that the focus is mainly on Bezos, who is richer than Trump and runs that "fake news" newspaper.
