Glad Stijn felt it necessary to spend his whole career in loving Ohio, destined to never win a playoff game again.

4 points out of a playoff spot is the closest Jørgen Jørgenson has come to the post-season in his 8-year, 628-game career. This, despite the fact that Colorado went to the Finals the year before his rookie season.

Couple more seasons and he's gonna pass Olli Jokinen's mark... but could he even dream to approach Ron Hainsey???

Am I now cheering against my own man?

Jørgen Jørgenson is a hell of an enigma.

8 seasons, 20 goals minimum every year, 5 30-goal seasons and 1 40.

And at the same time, at least 18 fights a season (5 seasons with more than 36 fights), almost 1900 penalty minutes in his career (which is 17% of his actual minutes played).

And he's learned to pass! His scoring has been consistent but his point totals are increasing now that he's figured out what an assist is.

In his first season with the Rags he scored 5 more goals and had 15 more points than his last season in Colorado, while also increasing his +/- by 41, all while near-equalling his PIM record and tying his fight record.

What a man.

Wee-man power-forward Stijn Hort has had similar if slightly better career with a single deep playoff run (conference finals game 7 loss; heartbreaking). 7 straight 30 goal seasons (peaking at 49). Stuck on a perpetually poo poo team that's always fighting for a WC spot and usually coming up insufficient. A single All-Star nod and no trophies to speak of.

Oh and over 1200 PIM in just 8 seasons. Seems high. However, if we pull his fighting majors out, presume no misconduct or other 10 minute penalties and assume everything else is a minor and he's only taken 232PIM over his 640 game career so far, meaning he, on average, takes 0.181 penalties per game (and gets in 0.3125 fights per game). The highlight of this trend came in 24-25 when Hort collected 7 PIM outside of fighting all year. He ended that season with 30 fights, 32 goals, 74 points, and 2 nonfighting penalties all season.

I'm quite sure the game has taken out general misconduct penalties, and game misconduct penalties (also worth 10min towards the count) in the past handful of years. So only 2, 4, 5 min penalties are there. But players have gotten major penalties without getting into a fight, so I assume there are major penalties for boarding, etc still in the game.

I tried to look this up, but there is not a way for me to see playoff stats for HHOF players specifically. There are too many hall of fame players for me to manually look up the stats for, but I'm sure at least a few dozen games would be on the low end. One year of the playoffs would be a hard sell.

A lot of the old timey player from the nha/nhl days would probably be super ultra low

The Colorado medical staff tried to calm down Hemlock's symptoms with painkillers and not much else; so he signed the deal in Ottawa after hearing their owner was forcibly removed from his position by catapult in '26. The sports psychologist made great progress with Prep using CBT and focus training over self medicating. Prep still has a weed edible once in a while though, as a treat. :unsmith:

So Dick Glynnenstein, who must be like 34 by now, is having a 15 goal career year as a defensive defenseman on the second pairing of the metro 1st Flyers having bounced down to the AHL for three or four other teams? That's some quality doping.

Also, 69 PIMs was probably intentional.
