This is neat- going into the datasheet LM308 can have its slew rate adjusted by using different sized capacitors to bridge the negative and positive supplies. The scope diagrams place it around 0.015 V/uS. Going off the suggested circuit diagrams it looks like it was designed mainly as a comparator op amp? For real though if you built the same circuit with a TL072 for audio purposes the difference would be impossible to tell.

I got mine off sheer dumb luck for about 150 dollars back in like 2001. But you can literally get clones for as little as 33 dollars or even build your own relatively easily. Hell, Billy came back to sell them recently and you can get them for like one tenth less than what an old-school original would cost you.
