Was thinking about it this morning and what might have worked is a series of bubbles. 1: Divisional bubble. Six games against your divisional opponents. This'd be easiest to execute. 2: "Conference" bubble. You'd be doubling the number of teams here and it'd probably be unwieldy at this point, though if the entire NBA can fit into a resort I don't see why it wouldn't work. For example, the NFC East and NFC West play each other this year, they're quarantined together. That's four more games. 3: Out-of-conference bubble. This year it'd be NFC East and AFC North. That's four more games. 4: Conference positional bubble. Teams in-conference play each other based on their position in the standings from their previous year already, so you'd only need 4 teams per zone. Though of course you could include more since by this point you'd already have proven you could fit more. That's the last two games. The playoffs are probably easier to figure out because half the league is gone by that point. Anyway all moot because NFL owners are dumb as poo poo.
