That's an A plus american bike lane. The storm drains slots aren't in the direction of travel, there's no other ruts in the direction of travel, and no parked cars in sight.

Artillery chat reminds me of something that happened with my brother a few years ago. He works in the auction trade and has occasion to collect all sorts of oddities, including this bit of trench art made from what I think is a mortar fuse.  Now you would think the thing would be inert, which was a bad assumption. My brother, me, and some friends were sitting around a table handling it when someone set it off. It wasn't that bad, as all that happened was a relatively small amount of smoking and burning. But man was that a heart-stopping moment when it starting puffing smoke.

Been listening to "Well There's Your Problem" and it's great except the british person needs to go, and the mic volumes are never balanced, ugh it's nearly impossible to listen to like half of the episodes because of these issues, but the content is great.

What is even the point of this little bump? It brings it up to level with the sidewalk, but if UK bike laws are like the US's I assume you're not supposed to be biking on the sidewalk at all so it's not like an onramp. Garbage can access?

The zebra markings indicate a pedestrian crossing, so it seems like one of those raised tables that are sometimes used for crossings to help with pedestrian visibility. Except that this one only covers the cycle lane. Which makes it rather pointless. Maybe there's a plan for a crossing there, and they'll fill in the rest when they can close the road?
