Had my final day as a contractor Centrelink worker today, my goodbye email was sent to 55 people and then got forwarded all over the center, and I quoted Winston Churchill and Emily Dickinson as part of my subtle burn on management. I got lots of nice replies and visitors, was a lot more important to people than I thought I was apparently, feels good

when i was an early teenager i had a mate from school with whom i would sometimes smoke weed. his parents had a nice big house in cremorne, sydney. we got into an argument once because despite smoking weed and wanting to continue smoking it, he said weed should stay illegal, because "there are a lot of morons out there who shouldnt be trusted with drugs, and we should stop them from doing it. and besides, i can still get weed even if its illegal, so it doesnt make a difference for me" privilege. not even once

I saw a really big yacht pull up by Eagle St pier in Brisbane last night. It was easily one of the largest yachts I’d see , and I was like “wow, I wonder if I can use Marine Radar 24 or whatever to see the yacht. I could, and that yacht’s name was “Nancy Jean”, straight from Tangalooma. I figured out this time that Jabba had finally arrived in his sail barge.

yeah he was the candidate for Clayfield but claimed the party was rorting JobKeeper and those claims are currently under investigation. he was also accused of harassment and intimidation which he was disendorsed for but he's claimed that was retaliation. notably some of the emails he brought to the media to show how rotten the Greens are had obviously fake dates (stuff like '32nd of July') so idk what was going on there.

I just voted in Greenslopes. Compared to the federal senate voting sheet it's nice to see only 2 rightwing extremists on the ballot.

It looks like the South East is swinging hard to Labor while the North and west is swinging to KAP and LNP.
|
# ? Oct 31, 2020 10:23 |

Looks like a lot of seats a swinging to the current incumbent across the board, KAP, ONP, ALP, LIB/NAT all mostly have swings towards sitting members with notable exceptions such as Jackie Trad (predictable) and Deb Frecklington.

It looks like Greens will pick up South Brisbane and McConnell along with Maiwar. It's also worth keeping an eye on Greenslopes. The Greens are only ~120 votes behind the LNP and if they overtake they could threaten Labor on preferences.

South Brisbane looks like a lock for em which is huge. 2.4 swing against LNP in my home seat which is an obnoxiously safe seat. Looking like KAP and ONP retain all their existing seats but no new gains thank christ. Huge LAB gains in formerly safe LNP seats. If Everton ever goes Red that'll be a Big Deal but i doubt it
