Regardless of what the final outcome is, I hope that polling companies finally start to realize that the "willing to pick up calls from unfamiliar numbers on their landline" demographic isn't representative of the full country.

We were taught that fascism was a uniquely terrible ideology for uniquely terrible people, so the vast majority of people just took it for granted that they would never be such a thing, never realizing how close they already were.
