For what it's worth, Arizona polled further to the right than PA so 538's "Path to Victory" snake chart didn't even include it. That's why it's possible for Biden to win without PA. as long as he sweeps everything else that polled to the left of PA/Arizona. (Florida and NC polled to the right of AZ). https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2020-election-forecast/?cid=rrpromo

Is there anywhere that is actually clear about how much of these totals are election day, how much is early voting, what the expected totals of each are, etc.? It's frustrating to see numbers being slung around and having no idea what they actually mean.

Ms Adequate posted:I'm not really bullish about PA but yeah the places that are 70, 80, 100% counted are the red counties, whilst Philly and suburbs and Pittsburgh are like 12%, 18%, 25% counted. And early/mail/abentee ballots are counted something like 17% last I heard. PA.gov still has mail-ins at 2.2 mil to be counted with a 3:1 Dem:GOP spread. This is why I'm remaining positive about PA swinging Biden.

It's frustrating to see numbers being slung around and having no idea what they actually mean. I don't think so. A good rule of thumb is that if there are states that haven't been called yet despite having what seems to be a clear result (North Carolina), those states have a significant number of ballots left to be counted that could swing the vote.

Geshtal posted:Are we posting maps now? Was going to post this, through all the doomposting the map still looks good for Biden. I'm going to go ahead and predict blue Minnesota, if it didn't flip in 2016 it won't now. Nevada is going to take for-loving-ever to turn in results but I also think Biden pulls ahead there. Iowa and Montana gonna get a Trump call, probably Texas and Ohio too. From there Biden pretty much just has to win PA...that should be fun. e: Andy Dufresne posted:For what it's worth, Arizona polled further to the right than PA so 538's "Path to Victory" snake chart didn't even include it. AZ comforts me a good amount, it definitely keeps paths open, and getting Kelly into the Senate as well would be and if heralds a longer-standing Arizona flip then things in the future get a little easier.
