I have no delusions about Biden's term--in this purely for schadenfreude. Watching Trump flail for two months will be fun and his stupid fanatical supporters.

I know it's a pyrrhic victory. I know we still have so much work to do. But still, this is a good feeling at this moment. Thank you GA, thank you PA. Thank you Gritty.

Now there will be people in the executive Cabinet who aren't 100% cronies there to destroy or loot their department. Now there won't be hatred coming from the top US leadership every loving day. It is a real victory.

If Biden's leads hold in the other states, it's 306 electoral votes, right? Trump only got 304 last time. He used to harp on about that being some great "never-been-done" victory. This will shut him up about that, big time. Young Freud fucked around with this message at 15:39 on Nov 6, 2020 |

Hey guys we’re going to have a President who takes the global pandemic seriously and won’t hate his best national experts because they’re getting more media buzz then him and also won’t blatantly ignore public health officials. Pyrrhic victory at best. Oh the secretary of education won’t actively be working to destroy public education, pffft like what is even the *point* of a Biden presidency.

Agencies under the executive branch, led by appointment: Dept of Ag Commerce Defense Education Energy Health and human services Homeland security HUD Justice Labor State Interior Treasury Transportation VA These are just the executive level departments and doesn’t include the very extensive alphabet intel agencies etc. They are almost entirely uniformly headed by chuds right now. Biden is not remotely left enough but just having competent not-evil people heading these agencies is a win for everyone.

BougieBitch posted:It's not a trend though, it's ONLY the case in ME. When you see an outlier like that you need to say "why is this different" and the answer is that Collins makes noises about being a "sane" Republican and is one of like 3 possible deciding votes on anything that goes to the Senate. More than likely, the fact that her name is constantly in the news makes Mainers want to vote for her, because she's clearly "doing work" if she is so talked about (nevermind that it's just a successful PR campaign rather than anything substantial). Feinstein saved her seat and Graham's, single handedly.
