I honestly can't understand why anyone would believe that "listen to the scientists" is the true line and that tweet is the lie. It's a pretty privileged position to hope for a Trump win with the flimsy premise that things will get better in the long run. There's absolutely no guarantee of that and you're gambling the next 4 years of our country to preserve your principles, while real people in America suffer right now because of emboldened bigots and fascist disinformation campaigns. What was the result of the last 4 years of Trump? The highest republican turnout ever, democrats losing seats in the house, and republicans maintaining control of the senate. Who's to say more people wouldn't convert to his cause in those 4 years?

Trump losing is good, period, for so many reasons. Thinking otherwise makes you no better than a chud. Biden is not my preferred candidate either, but if you want progressives in power the answer is grassroots, not federal elections. Get off the forums and go put in work if you're so concerned.

Classon, being a Canadian goon so therefore incapable of voting in the American election and also not directly under threat from a Trump presidency, wants to chastise everyone who voted for Biden. It's something they find easy to do from their position of saying "well I wouldn't have voted for him and things would have turned out better somehow for me anyway"

That's been going since 2010, the GOP was out of control before Trump was president, he didn't invent the Tea Party and they're certainly not going away after he's out of office.

Kind of impressive your willingness to handwave stats that show a steady rise until 2016 and then dramatic jumps in occurrences of racist violence and white supremacist terrorism directly linked to trumps rhetoric emboldening racists, if it weren’t so vile in service to your specific brand of bullshit.

Do you have some examples of when Biden has chosen to act in the public good rather than for the good of his donors over his very long career? I've not seen any but I'm interested if you have some.

Last night while everyone was discussing Georgia I poped over to cspam to their thread just out of curiosity.

I never understood the speaker thing; he was the only candidate aside from 2008 obama I actually found inspiring to listen to, but that might be because bernie's message resonated with me whereas no one else was even close.

I still think Bernie would've won in 2016, but this time Trump had incumbency advantage, q-cult, and (ironically) probably got a lot of support from Bernie's stimulus. That plus ~*socialisms*~ probably tips it against Bernie, yeah. Biden squeaked this out and I'm not sure another candidate would've.

The real lesson here for the left seems to be that personality matters a lot more than we'd like; to sell socialism we need charismatic faces who can sell it without the "S" word. Bernie's still a hero for keeping the dream alive but he's a Eugene Debs and we need someone more like Huey Long to actually win.

This is true. People vote emotionally. We need the Obama of democratic socialism.
