A crochet hook (about 60 cents on ali) is a great tool to have around for re-stringing things btw this goes for everyone https://www.aliexpress.com/item/328...earchweb201603_

it's good for game related stuff, all of the everdrive clones have been great, cables are fine for the price, clothes seem to be ok too as long as you know what to expect, i like it for indoor clothes

I never got anything from Ali that wasn't what I expected. But you need to set the right expectations and be aware that some things are going to be lies. A $5 flashlight isn't 10000 lumen, the battery that tops out at 3000mAh from LG isn't 9999mAh, and the impact wrench isn't even close to 500nm. Always check the reviews (ideally off-site) for anything expensive or intricate.

I have an old Microsoft set that's probably 15 years old and all of the plastic covering over the foam ear pads has flaked off. It works, but I could use a new one. If it doesn't work then oh well, it's just $10. I just hope it doesn't explode my laptop.

I saw the other one listed for $100 but that is simply more than I want to spend. At the very least, I'm tempted to just get into GBA games on a handheld, preferably something that is easy to load roms onto. Is it common to be able to reprogram the 1000 in 1 systems to have actually good games? https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3937810 This is the thread for discussing those, there's basically two that everybody recommends. That gba sp-looking one I posted about earlier is actually pretty decent once you install cfw, and it's half the price, but no analog sticks

There were some links a while back to house kits you could buy from ali. The overall prices were decent except for not really being sure if it'd be alright once assembled (not even regarding local codes). edit: oh, found it: I am now down the rabbit hole. I like that every picture of this thing is a render. It really says "sure, we could probably send you stuff to make that if you give us like, four grand." It's the aliexpress version of Fallingwater edit: actually they kind of put one together way down on the page, but then go back to the renders to show the final results so, great! SD card update: I filled it with about 100gb of some crap I had laying around, recorded 30 minutes of video and tested the remaining space. Everything checked out, but it does seem to be glitchy now in the PC. More testing to follow. Banggood offered to fully refund the for the drill without any arguments. Which is fair because it's impossible to use as delivered, but I do feel bad because some kid will probably get beaten over something I can fix in 5 minutes. Humphreys posted:Oh and this arrived today...overtaking the air compressor model. It's really smaller and lighter than I expected, I guess your compressor will probably perform better. But it's small and self contained so I could just stick it in the glovebox and forget about it. yoloer420 posted:That really doesn't look like it would have any air flow. OK sure you could make this yourself from stuff you can buy at Home Depot, but the price is about the same for this one, and everything's precut: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000760322566.html Modular plant "bricks" for building green walls: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32971180142.html Stackable hydroponic "leaf" pots. Anyone ever find any cheap on-the-ear bluetooth headphones? I wish I could find something EXACTLY like the Motorola S305s but they no longer make them. I have 3 pairs I've bought over the years and they only hold a charge for about an hour and a half now. The S305s have been my favorite headphones I've ever used and the most I ever paid was $21 for a set. I've seen people reselling them for $60-70 on Amazon or eBay so there seems to have been a market for them still - at least at one point. (They are not worth $60-70, of course) I've bought a few sets of different Bluetooth headphones but they are either uncomfortable or did not sound great.
