Theres more than one genocide being advocated in D&D right now and my personal one is calling for the exile and systemic persecution of the Canadian political ruling class and their systemic efforts to gently caress over and kill everyone in the provinces. But I'm getting off track. One of our premiers was complaining today that First Nations indigenous communities getting the vaccine before the racist whites who voted him into office was unfair to his poor little province and it had flipped my already bad mood today. Uh, to get off of genocide chat, I've started watching Technology Connection videos since they showed up in my feed and I've been really enjoying them. The host (I think his name is Alec?) has a real good lowkey charm to him when he talks about stuff like how a toaster made 80 years ago is better than the one you have in your house now.

I can't remember if it was confirmed that the second season of Animaniacs was going to bring back a chunk of the old cast or not, did I just convince myself that that was going to happen or is it actually for real?

To summarize the video, it is an old safety thing that just kind of stuck around. Starting a fan on low power there's a higher chance of a stall and on older motors that creates a fire hazard as power is still pumped in but has nowhere to go so it just builds as heat.

Technology Connections must be hitting the algorithm just right recently, he's been all over my recomendations this month and I last watched his stuff years ago. I recomend his series on the Selectavision, its a very comprehensive look into the history behind a video format that you've never heard of because it took 15 years to develop and was beaten to market by VHS. But yeah pretty much all his stuff is good and interesting even the ones about road signage and american turn signal regulations.
