Mediocre shooting, some halfhearted nods to deus ex style non linearity(hack the door or go through the vent right next to it), a lot of edge thrown at the wall that isn't particularly clever, there's nothing I've seen that jumps out at me as the game having that intangible spark that elevates it beyond your generic expectations. Hopefully I'm just a dumb wrong rear end in a top hat. guess what

Well I’m trying the New Zealand thing. We’ll find out if it works in a few hours...or if I get the larger file download. Edit: it worked. 81 gig download and NZ rating board.

That PS4 footage is way better than the console footage posted yesterday, where cars were dropping out of the sky and all the shadows were popping in and out. Makes me hopeful that the patch really does have massive fixes.

I'm glad I pretty much ignored all the promotional material for this beyond some of the initial stuff. I saw maybe one night city wire, bought the lore/art book and that's it. I have no idea what I'm in for beyond that the game will probably play like one of those German RPGs (Gothic, Risen, Elex). With any luck there'll be a compelling story underneath the Eurojank and it won't feel too much like Grand Theft Auto. If achieved I'll feel fine.

What I don't understand about that footage isn't the empty streets or horrendous vehicle physics. What I don't understand is why every dumb rear end in a top hat who has bothered to stream this game doesn't do anything. Eight minutes and all that guy did was drive in circles and put markers on his map that he immediately drives in the opposite direction of. There's dozens of icons on the map, go to one of them and do something!
