The end game has to be 18 games and at that point another bye right? That's the only thing that makes sense. And you leave the expanded practice squad and IR rules from this year.

That whole thing is gonna be down the road in another bout of CBA insanity. For comparison, the CFL has had an 18-game season since 1986. They usually had two bye weeks due to having odd numbers of teams, but a few years back they added a third, and play 21-week regular season.

They're against giving players another bye week because players haven't negotiated for one. Owners are going to want a concession no matter how you view it. To owners the players are inherently replaceable so who gives a poo poo about them feeling over worked out injuries.

Boykin's a kickass downfield blocker. Proche is purely a PR guy right now. Brown would hurt, inconsistent as he is. Don't think he's necessarily required to beat any of the next three teams, though.
