I was just reminded that there's another Tron in development and loving Jared Leto is starring. I'd much rather watch Garret Hedlund for another two hours.

Guess they decided not to go with centering Cillian Murphy's character or he wasn't interested in coming back.

Either way no desire to watch Leto in anything so hopefully we at least get another Daft Punk about score out of it.

His screen time is not very much, but yes he's just as insufferably indulgent in his role as you would expect.

The rest of the movie was heaps of fun though, so you may find it worth to get through his scenes with some eye-rolling.

That was the point.

Having been around the tech industry for years, I can say he portrayed rich tech people and CEOs quite accurately. God complexes and narcissism are fairly common among these individuals and the rich in general. We can only imagine how it’s going to be dialed up to 11 in the future as capital further consolidates and monopolizes.

It's actually too bad Leto turned out to be a creep (other than for obvious reasons) cuz it encouraged the lamest Shia-style goon takes about his performances like that one

Tbf tho that's how I feel about David Bowie being a creep. gently caress that fool, stop worshipping him, white people.

Honestly, I've never been bothered by any of Leto's performances, that I can remember. He's always serviceable or good. It's just that whenever I see him now, I think "oh, it's that guy who used his lovely band to prey on teens and now runs an actual cult around himself. poo poo."

I mean that first 30 seconds to Mars album does bang even if they fell off hard after that but the dude has always given off skeezer vibes so confirming that and having another excuse not to watch anything where he's the main actor is nice too.

What even is that movie? And if it's meant to be a horror movie, why are they using the GENRE MOVIE funnee movee red text for the title?

And it's pretty loving embarrassing that a presumably professional film looks worse than what one of my students made for her Media Studies assessment.
