The killbots use the manufacturer's proprietary bullets that have to be verified as genuine via embedded microchips. Verification will fail frequently, resulting in a jammed gun. Each microchip has a unique serial number that has to be cross-referenced to an online server (so people can't just reuse the microchips). This server will get hacked regularly, but the bullet server's site security certificate is hard-coded in to the killbot's hardware and can't be updated without upgrading to a newer model.

I forget if it was here or YOSPOS where the uselessness of AI/ML has pretty much been a consensus, but the AlphaFold 2 results from last month have gotten to the point that not only has the protein folding problem essentially been solved, the team was challenged to determine the folded structure of an archaeobacteria protein that had been unsolved for ~50 years with conventional means and managed it in less than a day.

Why is it dystopian? What may very well be the world's most powerful medical and biochemical/biophysical tool is the sole property of Google/DeepMind.

the year is 2021. joe biden's many years undercover have been successful, and finally a maoist is the president. comrade kamala, after freeing 97% of america's prisoners, comes for the landlords and white cishet christian men. intactivism is the largest topic on twitter for the past six months.

i'm in my gooncave, well equipped thanks to my ironic purchase of a hundred bit coins in 2010. the slavering masses of antifa supersoliders have thus far not detected me. however, my final defense system is offline, as it currently controlled by a botnet from my search for non-interracial cuck porn. (all other porn genres being declared illegal)

Suddenly, I hear a sharp crack as my hanzo steel door blows out of it's frame, narrowly avoiding my rotund form. they found me. In desperation I unplug my computer, hoping that disconnecting from the internet could save my life. sadly, my killbots continue to speak in Russian about the need for Putin to be given a Nobel Peace Prize for destroying America.

Antifa, wearing full gas masks and all black bunny suits swarm in. A few put scanners on my head, the fMRI lie detector test clearly a formality. My crimes are listed, my guilt determined by six trans gay black men popping and locking in powdered wigs.

I hear a click, the telltale scent of marijuana tells me one thing. I will be bimbofied.

You can still do that. You dont even have to pay a dns registrar, you can just give people the ip address to your self-hosted http server if you want. Do google searches index pages that aren't registered with dns? Something for me to look into later.

it's not very easy to be on page 1 google if you're just an IP address these days, because google's algo prioritises really dumb bullshit so you have to hire SEO people google can sell certs to. a simple example is, your page should only respond to https://www.example.com whereas example.com may only redirect to www, or vice versa. like, the example isn't a big deal but why does google care about entirely optional characters so much that it'll lower your search rank over it? lmao

anyway, having an actual domain is on top of the "this site shud search gud" list. i guess this is on topic, because .org TLD got bought by a private company a year ago, so now even non-profits are beholden to a corporation lmbo https://domainnamewire.com/2019/11/13/breaking-private-equity-company-acquires-org-registry/

my guess? cargo cult reliability. big company pages, and most fancy off the shelf packages will do that redirection thing. big company websites and expensive websites tend to be relevant and have SEO poo poo. google decides having a redirection means your site is better. either literally to sell seo certs, or accidently due to the cargo cult.

im just glad google isn't racist in very obvious ways like the microsoft twitter bot
