I wonder if there's going to be any backlash when Persona 5 Strikers comes out western P5 fans find out it's not a full-fledged sequel but instead a spin-off in a different genre. I've seen a weirdly large number of Youtube comments on videos like this one where people seem really disappointed that P5S is "removing" features from Persona 5, or has fewer personas, things like that. That's how that video frames it, too, like P5S is somehow a sequel that removed everything people liked rather than a spin-off that's just... a different kind of game. There's an element of western Persona 5 fandom that can be... very dumb, to put it charitably.

Hitman 3 comes out on the 20th and on PC it's exclusive to the Epic store. yeah the combat is the same and i find that fine. the series still experimented plenty, 4 had multiple small campaigns with different protagonists before they join together, 5 covered the full life of a hero and then his child, 7 was a series of time travel vignettes, 9 did the weird heaven plot where you created characters i'd rather it be like this than, say, the change from thousand year door to super paper mario to sticker star to color splash also FF's constantly changing combat means that i don't enjoy all of them. i think FF12 has the only good RTWP combat of any RTWP rpg i've played, and then I can't stand the paradigm system in FF13, and then they go to MMO GCD combat in 14, and then bland and sluggish action combat in 15 if shadow hearts came back and it didn't have the judgement ring it wouldn't be shadow hearts. if dragon quest 12 came out and it had an SRPG grid and natural doctrine's link turn system, it wouldn't be dragon quest The 7th Guest fucked around with this message at 18:06 on Jan 15, 2021 |

This Warcraft game clip owns, remember getting a little ad for this in WC3 boc or something, really wish they'd finished it. I also love they mentioned the Warsong song, been playing these games for like 20 years and have always been wondering where the gently caress the Warsong Clan's loving song was. Hearthstone managed a bunch of catchy songs in throway ads for expansions, yet AFAIK there in not a single lyrical song in all of WoW.

Phantasy Star Online 2 has completely taken over my life. I have no idea what i'm doing 99% of the time, but it's very easy to find 8 or 12 player groups and just chill out killing stuff all evening. The game is getting massive graphics overhaul next month, with a open world questing zone for the first time in its 9 years of being active.
