It wouldn't bother me if they didn't get a bunch of colours wrong and not include several parts. But that's the true bootleg experience I guess.

I have a Chinese knockoff Pittsburgh Penguins Winter Classic hockey jersey. The fun part is, it wasn't the official design but something a fan drew up before the real ones went out. I wonder if the guy knows that his creation exists, and sits in my wardrobe.

Lepin and the like will buy the instructions for $2 or whatever and then sell them with knockoff parts if it's a popular model or theme (like star wars). It's kind of flattering, but the errors tend to detract from that a little.

That's pretty much a result of Dredd starting out as a parody of America in the late 70s and not doing much retconning so things have gotten so much worse in the actual America. Hell, every citizen in Mega City 1 that obeys the law is guaranteed free housing, food and healthcare. Hell, they even get a monthly stipend to buy crap like kneepads. Also like others said, the Judges don't go around murdering at random. Anyone caught doing that gets shipped of to Mars or is dumped in the wasteland. Life in MC1 is actually much better than for many Americans these days. Anyways...

This isn't boot-leg so I guess I'll be banned but Judge Dredd reminded me of the only issue of the periodical I've owned, and the cover was this: while the back cover advertised for subscription the publisher's more well-known publications; "Tao Tao", "The World's Strongest Bear", and "Clownphant":  e: actually the drawings on the back cover are kind of boot-leg as they're clearly traced from original art. 3D Megadoodoo has a new favorite as of 07:32 on Jan 26, 2021 |
