That's about as complimentary as you can draw Charles Bronson, so that is at least noteworthy.

Yeah, I was just thinking that it's some gorgeous art that's almost wasted on Bronson's ugly mug.

Millennials are currently on a negative population growth trajectory, so that’s doubtful. About three out of every five children born to Millennial mothers were already born before 2018. There is no baby boom for Millennials to have, because economic forces have basically squashed the ability to have a level of comfort for enough of the generation to even consider having kids.

I didn't think there could possibly be an upside to coming of age into an utterly destroyed economy, but look at that: I can never afford a house, but at least I'll never see reboots of Look Who's Talking or 3 Men and a Baby.

Out for Justice also has one of the goofiest act 3 finales ever, which is Seagal and Forsythe fighting each other to the death with common household items inside a living room.

Also, he knocks a man out and a dog pisses on the man.

Just a wee note about Julianna Margulies' experiences on that film, not that it was any worse than Seagal beating the poo poo out of LeBrock, who was his wife.

Oh, absolutely. I seem to remember more than once instance of Segal literally begging crimepunks to fight him, getting on his knees and saying, "I'll close my eyes on my knees, you kick me in the face first, go ahead take your best shot"

Did I mention the thing where he only goes for movies with three short words as a title? He thinks it makes the movies better, a good luck charm from the time when he was thinner, younger, and somehow had less hair

(gently caress steven segal lol)
e: I remember that time he was being interviewed about the UFC fight he just saw, and he put on his yellow operator sunglasses so he could oogle the interviewer's tits the whole time, I guess not remembering that we can see his eyes through the frames

The judoka Joe Lewis choked him out so bad he shat his pants after Seagal claimed he could not be choked out. Gene Lebell witnessed it and talked about it publicly, then got hit with a gag order

He's also been accused of human trafficking

IIRC according to Gene Lebell it was Gene himself who choked him on on set while working as a stuntman. Not sure where you got Joe Lewis from, who was a kickboxer and Karate point fighter.

The thing about Segal movies, from what little I can remember, is that he never seemed in actual danger in fights. He just kicked the poo poo out of everybody with no drama or danger to his character

Imagine if the t 800 just effortlessly beat the t1000 in every encounter

From what I remember watching the first few (Hard to Kill and Out For Justice, i think) when they were originally released, that was part of the appeal. It was very different from a standard action movie where the protagonist struggles and is hurt but eventually succeeds, I think in both theres some initial setback/injury, but then once things get started he's just effortlessly unstoppable. Its pornographic violence, in the "mindless wish fulfillment" sense.

I appreciate that kind of thing when they balance it right, most Bruce Lee movies operate on that logic as do the good Tony Jaa movies, for example. Seagal is lazy though and he's just kind of standing there tapping dudes' ankles when they "kick" him and then fly away.

So Bottleneck Gallery - who we've talked about before in here (a better alternative to Mondo) - is doing Mystery Tube round 2 today.

They did the last one on Black Friday I think? I got one (they will literally sell out in seconds) and it came in Friday.

It included

Tom Walker's Mando variant: https://bottleneckgallery.com/products/tom-walker-this-is-the-way-the-mandalorian-holiday-special-variant?_pos=11&_sid=80d9a82c9&_ss=r

Luke Martin's Chapel of the Forest: https://bottleneckgallery.com/products/luke-martin-chapel-of-the-forest?_pos=1&_sid=6b3283754&_ss=r

Pablo Olivera's Metropolis: https://bottleneckgallery.com/products/pablo-olivera-metropolis-mono-edition?_pos=3&_sid=de1f05a03&_ss=r

Karl Fitzgerald's ROTJ "The Pursuit" : https://bottleneckgallery.com/products/karl-fitzgerald-the-pursuit?_pos=1&_sid=6d9487fdc&_ss=r

Dave Perillo's Thundercats (only one I don't really care for): https://bottleneckgallery.com/products/dave-perillo-thundercats?_pos=3&_sid=53b792e31&_ss=r

And the left half of Ubik's The Climb: https://bottleneckgallery.com/products/ubik-the-climb-print-set?_pos=6&_sid=399824dac&_ss=r

Cost is $85 + $15 shipping. It's a pretty insane value for poster drop folks.

Drops at 11 cst/12 est: https://bottleneckgallery.com/

I'm going to have to check my blu-ray when I get home, because the front cover I'm seeing online is a similar version to the one on that poster (way less emphasis on Rami). I could've sworn my copy has the poster from the film, which might not sell it to those who haven't seen it, but makes a ton of sense if you have. Love that film. https://www.blu-ray.com/Short-Term-12/238919/

I mean Rami Malek didn't get away unscathed either, he's an odd looking dude but holy hell man.

But yeah, definitely an odd choice to use a picture of Chloe from 24 instead of the person who's actually in the movie

There's sloppy positioning all over, there's also a wider space between the ® symbol and "winner" over Brie Larson's name.
