The people who I know that play this game are massively afraid of queueing into raids and moving at more than a snail’s pace let alone willing to let me shoot them in woods. I mean these guys legit quit for the day because they lose a 100k kit. I’m not even sure how to go about cheesing it efficiently. Queue for turkey servers or something? I’ve hit kappa twice before now without cheesing mostly because I figured it would almost waste more time trying to get queued into the same raid. I guess the answer is the goon discord but I don’t want to ask three random people to waste their time and probably never play with them again because of my work schedule.

When goons sync drop for kills, usually you do a few rounds so everyone who sacrifices their body gets to make some progress too. Just dont be the dude who hops in, gets his kills and then leaves. If youve already done that stupid quest twice, theres no need to put yourself through it again. Tarkov shooter 8 in particular is so random, more so now with how big woods is, and its frankly a massive pain in the rear end. Most nights there are 15-25 goons playing on the discord and a lot of times that includes one channel with like 8+ people in there, where only 5 are actually in raid. Just post that you need to sync drop Tarkov Shooter 8 and I'd bet you'll find some goons willing to do a few rounds the same night, or at least some willing to schedule something for the next day or so.

If you wait until the right moment to turn them on they can help you aim your hipfire - I used them this way in Factory to get the 3 PMC pistol kills, for example. Additionally all of the modes on the tactical attachments tighten the grouping on hipfire shots. It's actually pretty significant. So any of my meta'd out guns have an AN/PEQ set to the IR flashlight always on. No one can see the flashlight so it can't give away your position like the lasers (which I have seen go through walls... lol) but having it always on means that you'll get the best results hipfiring every time.

Obviously they do reveal where you’re aiming but point firing is so crazy loving good that they’re worth using. The way I look at it this - yes, the enemy can see where you’re aiming but there’s TONS of fights in this game where they already know where you are based on audio cues so the benefit of being able to accurately place your reticle outweighs any chance of giving away where you’re pointing your gun. Players that have been playing for a while using the IR laser to get the shot grouping bonus all the time because they intuitively know how to point fire with various weapons & can aim accurately without the laser. But if you’re like me, that laser is a godsend in close quarters fights. Point firing allows you to continue moving at 100% walk speed (as opposed to 50% when you ADS) so being able to aim accurately while giving yourself the best chance to strafe out of the enemy’s spray makes lasers super clutch. Basically it doesn’t matter if they know where you’re aiming if they’re dead.

I agree with the clap. In most situations where you'd want a laser people already know where you are. If you're scoping out a new area to walk into maybe turn it off for a bit, but realistically its actually pretty rare to notice a laser dot hopping around, even though it FEELS so visible on your screen. People do see it when you flash it in their faces! Which is interesting. Its also really good on bolt actions for when ADSing is too slow.

Again, if you're comfortable hipfiring without assistance just use the IR flashlight mode, it doesn't give away your position and it has the same exact benefit as the laser modes.

The Youtuber Karmakut has a new player playthrough series where he is in Dorms and just notices a blue dot on the wall and immediately dashes into a bathroom. the biggest difference between the two is that usec get english voice lines and bears get russian ones and if you pick usec youre missing out on being able to yell/ramble random russian phrases. also i think they start with some different gear but nothing important.

Bear gets the summer camo pattern which is the exact same color as most of the grass in the game. Pairs nicely with the m2 rig to make you the ultimate bush wookie.

Yes, but it’s minor - it affects where the laser/light is in relation to the rest of your weapon, so with lasers your actual bullets may be going slightly to the right/left of your laser if you don’t mount them above/below your barrel, and with flashlights it’ll impact the position of where others who are being blinded by the light see the light source relative to your body (I.e. mounting a light on the right side of your gun means you’re displaced if they don’t think/know to compensate for that and aim right at the light)

Statistically I'm pretty sure there are way more USEC than BEAR in every wipe and always has been, but as soon as you get Friend From The West you're only gonna get matched against BEAR, that's how it works.
