Um actually a computer's size profile is extremely important when you're designing a workstation under very limiting space constraints

Give them away? Recycle them? Anything but smashing it for the sake of it's destruction.

Of course this is in a comic but it's clearly emblematic of the way some people conceive of "stuff doesn't matter and we should have less you squares".

Ages ago I watched a thing on planned obsolescence, and they decided to make their in-depth relatable point be about how their trusty old crt computer monitor was just as good as these newfangled LCDs. They could not have picked a better example to undermine their (otherwise objectively correct and accurate) argument.

MOD EDIT: If you don't get the joke (which, while funny, is extremely dark), the link provided by the OP below explains it. But Viewer Discretion Is Advised, as it involves horrible animal cruelty.

[MOD: sorry to trample on your post 3D, but I got a report on it, and I can see why clicking on that link would spoil someone's morning when they just want to laugh at funny comics.]

Everyone should have 1(one) computer for playing map games, maybe a console and that's it. For work you can plant a tree, point at a bug or do art and crafts. The world is a vampire. Death to computer touchers. Hail satan.
