We had the same bullshit here in Australia, when South Australia lost power due to storms. Had dingbats trying to blame it on wind and solar generators getting knocked out. But nope, it turns out it was the infrastructure that wasn't properly ready for such an event. You can generate as much power as you might need from any kind of power source you have, but if you've got nothing to transfer it along, good luck with that! Although, and it's funny, it was found that wind generators which were still online did contribute a lot to propping up the system as best they could while the downed infrastructure was fixed. Also, in dating chat, I have fallen for a Trans Non-Binary person, and am too chickenshit to do anything about it because they're their awesome selves, and I'm just... me. High-five lonesome goons
