I've been watching some early TJPW stuff to try and acquaint myself a bit with the wrestlers and compare how years of experience improve the ring work. Seeing Miyu in full idol dance mode is weeeeeiiiird. Is there a turn that happened at some point? The tonal shift is dramatic (though the kicks are still there). I think I've been able to pin down this shift to late May/June of 2017, but I don't know any good way of figuring out if there was a catalyst for the change (unless it has something to do with this UUG press conference...) Also interesting/notable, Emi Sakura will be on the Stardom Budokan show this week, albeit just in a battle royale, but it's only her second ever appearance in Stardom according to Cagematch, & that was 8 years ago.
