i am a minority in the usa and i can tell you that in my travels, germany and the UK are faaaaaaaaaar more racist than my lovely rural town in the midwest. coming back home to america is always a breath of relief. i dont think you guys really understand how ingrained the idea of racial superiority is in the UK, it was the center point of the largest empire in the history of the world literally less than 100 years ago. that poo poo doesn’t stop overnight. the brits don’t do racism like america where it’s aggressive and policed - they do it with you agreeing that yes, maybe whites are superior after all and then using the class system to keep you in your place. and the loving royals are literally the top of that class system in the most obvious way

We are talking a lot about the overt and pervasive racism of the uk from both the royal famerly and the press but I think we are forgetting how sexist they all are too. When it comes to Meghan, this all gets put into one package called misogynoir. I mean, the press compared her newborn to a monkey and when called out the press actually denied it was racist to do so. Like a certain someone in this thread who jumped in here denying that asking after a mixed raced baby's skin tone was racist. At the end of the day they are still royals with a lot of money though so who care, right? They would probably eat me if they had the chance, cheeky blighters. I guess I just hate seeing blatant sexism and racism get made excuses for because I am such a good person.

It's not even as bad as it gets. A number of royal lines in the past have died out due to excessive inbreeding, going all the way back to Tutenkamoon. https://allthatsinteresting.com/charles-ii-of-spain The British family at least seem able to avoid loving direct relations too much.
