Between her and the Mike Murdock retcon, Zdarsky seems to really like giving super heroes siblings. Speaking of, didn't realize he had another Spider-Man What-If coming out next month.

I didn't follow his Spider-man run, but Peter Parker:The Spectacular Spider-man 310 was talked up a lot when it came out so I read it, and it's a wonderful tribute to what makes Spider-man great. Also, funny panels tax from that issue.

I think disliking Sex Criminals isn't really the best basis for not being interested in his Marvel work, but I can certainly understand why it would. He has vastly more range than what early Sex Criminals might suggest.

Also when he would be doing his Parker Industries thing Prowler would fill in as Spider-Man so I like to believe he told Hobie to also stop in for free hot dogs.

I haven't read Archie since Waid left, but I definitely would not compare that part of its run to Riverdale at all beyond having the same characters.

Right, it was really good as weird goofy comedy when the reboots started, but what they've been releasing lately (save for stuff like Jughead the Hunger, which rules) has been very directly inspired by Riverdale. Also, the mainline archie reboot had a sharp left turn into, like, people getting in car accidents and the like.

Did they ever finish the Afterlife with Archie and Sabrina books?
|
# ? Mar 12, 2021 19:39 |

If it helps, Spencer dropped off the book pretty quick in favour of Mariko Tamaki. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina just kinda... stopped, but Kelly Thompson and Jen Bartel have been doing a sort of halfway house book which has horror elements but kind of positions Sabrina as more of a superhero than a demon spawn.
