Had a video store near me as a kid called Blockbuster which was definitely not affiliated with with the chain but I dunno if they had much of a presence here back then. Rented lots of Megadrive games from there before they shut down.

what i'm pretty sure was the last video rental store in my town, family video, closed about two weeks ago. it's all redbox now. none of this matters to me because the only way i can fit my ps4 into my entertainment center with adequate airflow is to have the disc drive directly facing the wall

I miss renting games from Redbox  it saved me so much money over the years.I could restart my GameFly subscription that I stopped paying for several years ago, but Redbox was easier and cheaper. I really should start renting more instead of purchasing, though. I've been burned by a few poor purchasing decisions like Watch Dogs Legion.
