That's really neat. I would be super disappointed if I paid $700 for it though. I cannot watch the entire video. It's gross like a mukbang; the person in the video is like, gasping for air and flipping out over a completely normal item they purchased. I wish I had been that excited about any toy ever as a kid.

I have a friend who likes Ghostbusters and Christmas so I tried to get them the Stay Puft marshmallow man tree ornament that Hallmark put out in 2012 but the average price online comes out to about $100 Australian (including postage). The 2019 Hallmark Peter Venkman ornament is going for about $50. I'll pass on those.

Yeah, and Hasbro could use "transform" as a verb back in the 80s and 90s because no-one at the time cared enough to aggressively pursue the brand. Plus, it being the heyday for action figure toylines, I imagine that if they had lost Transformers as a brand they would have just shrugged and moved on and raked in piles of cocaine money selling some other dumb thing. Now they've got nearly 40 years of brand equity and it's still selling okay in a market that's largely converted (heh) to video games, etc., so they've got more to lose. It's asinine, but capitalism (and trademark law) makes asses of us all.

If they lost the Transformers trademark in the 1980s, I can almost guarantee Hasbro will rebrand the line as "GI Joe Metamorphers" or something. It's not like they haven't done something similar. Animorph toys were sold as a subline of Beast Wars despite the fiction not being connected in anyway.
