Being a "cop/army man/secret agent does not require acting beyond what they do in the ring as tough guys. Probably feels safer for WWE to produce that, than actually stretch their stars or features ones with range. How they didn't do B horror films with Kane/Undertaker is a real mystery tho.

I watched some NXT this week for the first time in a while because of the time switch. Kinda meh overall but I did really like the O’Reilly/Grimes match.

The only good Fiend match was his retrospective with Cena. Bryan and Owens did their best. Those matches are all ok. On a curved scale for The Fiend. I'll admit I just hate The Fiend though. Bray Wyatt promises a reinvention. He debuts this sinister Mr. Rogers character. I lean in to give it a chance even though I thought regular Bray Wyatt was regularly terrible. Turns out he's got The Fiend. Ok, what does The Fiend do? He comes out to a remix of Bray's theme doing the same entrance and wrestling the same style. drat. Then he did a neck snap for a nearfall and I decided to tap out. You can't do a neck snap as a transitional move and a mandible claw as your finish. Luckily I turned out to be right about The Fiend being terrible when they did that Hell in a Cell match. Woof. Bill shouldn't have buried him, but it was a Saudi show so oh well. Fiend lore is the most eyeroll-inducing thing WWE fandom pumps out and that's an impressive feat. I don't give a poo poo about whether or not Alexa Bliss is channeling the goo of Sister Abigail and how that goes back to a promo Bray cut in 2013 NXT, lads. I just want to see a good wrestling match.

they should've just kept bray in his original gimmick and let him be a manager/tag team dude with a rotating set of minions that he leaned on for the heavy lifting in the ring, but that would've required wwe liking managers, stables, and tag teams all swamp cult leader bray needed was to not always get chumped out

Also, why did they change the title here? Weird. I believe this is when they decided that, after The Fiend...killed Braun in a swamp, maybe?? that the evil supernatural borderline-murderous force was the face and Braun was the heel. So they put the belt on The Fiend to give Roman extra HEAT

I will say, Seth would've flopped as the top babyface anyway because he's such a tool, but man, like four months of feuding with Corbin, then getting cashed in on by Lesnar, then that Fiend poo poo. He never had a chance.

It’s been a while since they did the insanely dumb thing of trying to use a gun in a wrestling angle. Maybe it’s time to have Randy Orton dressed up like Elmer Fudd chasing The Fiend with a hunting rifle or something.
