Turns out my local green candidate is "an active trade unionist" and has said there will be no environmental justice without social and economic justice so that tipped the balance for me, I'll vote for him.

Pinched my nose and voted Labour because the only other candidate was for the Green party and I could find absolutely nothing about him.

Barely anyone going in or out of the polling station.

Just voted Labour because I know the candidate and he's a good egg. We were out together canvassing for the local elections a few years ago. The thing is, I'm going to be moving in a few moths so I really don't see me voting for kieth again as it would have been a spoiled ballot if I didn't know the candidate.

Echoing what Jedit said. If you support independence, vote SNP on the first ballot & Green on the second. The only exception is if you live in South of Scotland. The SNP currently have 4 MSPs from the second ballot, despite receiving more than twice the votes of the next party in 2016. 3 of those MSPs are South of Scotland, 1 Highland. Which basically means about 900,000 SNP votes were wasted, which only benefits the Tories.

The only sensible option on the 2nd ballot are the Greens. Do not engage with Alex Salmond's ego trip.

Welp, turns out i technically live in the northern part of southern Scotland. So we need to do our part to keep the bastards out.

Voted a mix of Labour and Green with the only objective of boosting whoever was most likely to beat the tory candidate

Voted no on a local referendum because after about half an hour of Googling I still had no idea what they were attempting to accomplish, who was attempting to accomplish it, and why

Mamma Mia, my hands are huge!

Voted SNP constituency, Green list. Hopefully my predecessor at work will get a seat (Co-leader of the greens, she's been representing them in the debates.)

Couldn't vote Labour up here as Starmer is awful, and it's come out that a friend was abused by the son of a very prominent Scotlab figure. This abuse was then covered up by the local party (including her mum and stepdad, also a prominent figure at one time).

And I got a free pencil.

Voted Plaid in the local, Communist in the regional. If you're giving the middle finger to the establishment, you may as well go big or go home. Plus, it was childishly funny.

Not many names crossed off the list by 6.30pm. I'm in a rural area where the result is a foregone conclusion. I've seen virtually no campaigning, and very few people seem bothered about the whole thing.

I actually found a dog yesterday. Well, I suppose a 100 people found it, but I was the only one bothered enough to take it home. It ran across a street in north london while i was getting donuts, and milled about in a park being watched by everyone for about 10 mins.

I then spent the afternoon trying to have Big Important Meetings while this dog ran around the kitchen whimpering. Got it to a vet in the evening and they found a chip and called the owners who had been desperately searching the nearby park (different park) for it.

that was my Good Deed for the week

Went down to vote and in true form I scrawled a big shitpost on my constituency ballot (don’t worry jedit, it was nothing phallic or overtly offensive) and voted green on the list.

Not happy about voting for a pro Indy party while the SNP are still going to be the lib cunts that enact any kind of process towards it, but it’s worth it for their policy platform and I really don’t want the SNP squeaking a majority and making the green vote pointless in the first place.

I was really struggling to care about voting...in the end I was so motivated to exercise my essential rights and partake in our great nation's democracy that I went and voted because I was out doing something else and was driving right past the polling station.

Such a depressing contrast to the last few times I'd been there.

I spoiled my ballot for Police & Crime Commissioner because there were literally no good options.

I voted Green in the council - a quick google/twitter search in the car before going in showed that the Labour candidate isn't an obvious shithead but it wasn't conclusive and I really didn't want to give the impression of endorsing Starmer.

I voted Lab then Lib for our mayoral election because there were only three candidates and I felt I should at least try and help make it not a total walkover for the Conservatives.
