I wouldn't say she should really be smug about it, South of Scotland was really the only constituency where SNP/SNP made any sense. This is a pretty good post into how the Additional Member System works but the gist is you divide the number of seats you've won+1 in the region by the number of votes. So the SNP got all 9 seats in Glasgow, & 133,917. So you'd divide that by 10 to get 13,392. This means that 134,000 SNP votes were wasted, they were never ever going to get a list seat in Glasgow. Meanwhile the Tories get 2 & the Greens 1 despite just 900 votes between them, because people bought the #BothVotesSNP shite. loving moronic but hey. forkboy84 fucked around with this message at 21:37 on May 8, 2021 |
