Anyone have any experience with buying micro SDs or flash drives off of Ali, especially higher-volume ones? I want to put some things on one for a friend and the novelty of putting them all on a Bart Simpson 64gig is really tempting.

I've bought some SD cards on Ali that were perfectly fine and legit, sizes checked out fine with f3write/f3read, etc.

Those ones though, if you check the bad reviews there's complaints that the 64/128 GB ones are really 32GB and the capacity is faked, and also they are very slow.

If you want to throw a couple dollars out for a funny bart simpson sd card, i guess go for it but 32GB one at most and just expect that it's going to be slow and unreliable.

I've bought a dodgy Chinese flash drive off eBay (same pool of sellers seemingly, you'll find a lot of Ali-esque stuff on there that is more mass-marketable) because I thought it was a cute design, and aside from being a bit slower than one you'd get off Amazon from a reputable brand, it worked well. Be ready for novelty flash drives to have trouble fitting into certain computers especially if you have things plugged in around it, though.

That might have been me. At first it tested fine but stopped working after a week or so of occasional use in the camera.

I have like 30 NATO straps from ali, what do you want to know? Price+shipping should be pretty similar from different vendors. Don't use the sort by price button, use the sort by order button.

Oh, and Jones was there too.

My cousin carefully opened up the duvet cover, looked inside at the pikapede, burst into nervous laughter and then quickly closed the cover again with a "I think this sort of thing should be sealed and warded". They then refused to let anyone else at the table see what we'd got them. Once they got it home it was quickly hidden upstairs before anyone could see, and the duvet cover returned empty.

Mission success!

I have noticed before that if I click on something mentioned in this thread, my recommendations start to throw in stuff I have seen mentioned here but never clicked. So I think it must be some kind of "customers who clicked the same links as you also clicked these" and anyway, I have been searching for a lot of pet- and wig-related stuff recently, sorry.

(Seriously I was TRYING to find pet-size wigs so thanks man.)

These things are Chinese knockoff (recast) versions of insanely expensive one-of-a-kind russian artist dolls by a pair of artist sisters named the Popovy Sisters that cost, I'm not even kidding, thousands of dollars each. They all have those miniscule too-far-apart eyes and emaciated-looking body sculpts and hideously exaggeratedly high-heeled feet. It's like the world's most horrifying caricature of high-fashion models. I'm a doll collector, so I have a high tolerance for creepy/weird dolls, and even I find them off-putting and unpleasant.

I buy a lot of cheap doll stuff offa Aliexpress so I get these things in my freebies all the time. Every time I scroll past I wince a little.

I bought this magnetic charging cable for my ancient tablet with intermittent power issues, and it's fantastic so far. Charges great, and the swiveling neck of the cable itself means zero cable stress when I'm in bed reading my plugged-in tablet. The nubbin that stays in my tablet's power port is small enough that the case clears it easily, and the magnetic end of the cable itself glows blue. :krad: No data transfer, but I didn't need it. A+++++ would buy and wait two months to receive it again.

Yeah, do this. My shirt (an Ali 3X, as it turns out) is fine for around the house, but it looked faded (:airquote: vintage) from day one. I'd rather have a Teepublic one in an XL that fits properly and is vividly printed, perfect for confusing and alarming unsuspecting people on the street. :getin:
