It could be some kind of mass panic, but I don't see lack of unambiguous videos as meaning much given that there was something to make those people start recording in the first place. And why would officials give a poo poo about getting heard by the anglosphere?

They also weren't standing over the lead pour, and were super paranoid about any moisture potentially still in the wood causing exactly this disaster.
