If you ever wondered what Dr. House would be but as a team of Wizards solving medical mysteries with mystic might, then take a look at Fae's Anatomy. It is a fast paced fantasy medical mystery drama in the vein of an improv game like Fiasco and the book serves as the GM so everyone can play.
Who is Fae's Anatomy By?

Goon Caleb Stokes of Red Markets, Delta Green, Roleplaying Public Radio and many others is the game designer behind Fae's Anatomy.

What to know how Fae's Anatomy is played?

Here is audio of an free actual play with Greg Stolze

https://www.patreon.com/posts/faes-anatomy-51354775?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copy_to_clipboard&utm_campaign=postshare

If you want to know more about how the game was designed, look no further than the Roleplaying Public Radio's Game Designer's Workshop here: http://slangdesign.com/rppr/2021/05/game-designer-workshop/game-designer-workshop-caleb-stokes-on-faes-anatomy/

If you are interested in more of Caleb's game design work through Hebanon Games, backers for Fae's Anatomy can pick up Red Markets, it's expansions and No Security (Call of Cthulhu adventures in 1930s) for a discounted price.

You ripped this game right out of my dreams. I have wanted something like this for a long time but I've never been able to articulate the rules in a way that satisfied me.

Dang, I didn't even know there was a Kickstarter thread here (or 3).

I didn't see it in the last few pages, but I am currently backing "I C E", a French game with stunning art: Players play archaeologists who are excavating (literally, the board is layers of hexes that you remove to reveal more layers) an ancient civilisation.

It's in the last 40ish hours, maybe someone here's interested.

That looks very pretty, but I checked out when I saw that the stretch goals unlocked different backs for the tiles that are randomised during setup, including unique backs for each of the edifices on the bottom level. These people are loving idiots who have wrecked their own game for the sake of bling.

That seems to be a misunderstanding - "backs" refers to what you're revealing when you turn them over from their unrevealed side (the "front"). The edifices also bring a "legacy lite" aspect in that they add a small rule to your next game.

You can see the setup here, unless I'm the one who completely misunderstood the stretch goal, that's not what's happening.

I have never heard of the business side of a card or tile being referred to as "the back".

Fae's Anatomy broke through it's $10,000 goal and cracked the first stretch goal at the $11,000 mark thanks to your enthusiasm!

What's next?

$12k Stretch Goal

This book contains real medical information! Well, half of it does. Actually, it’s probably somewhere between 25-33%. And most of that is from Wikipedia. But it’s real, damnit! While no one should use FAMMM to learn medicine, we’d love it if players could pass through the game on their way towards actual Biology.

If we meet this stretch goal, the book includes extensive endnotes for every source used to make the -Natural side of the list. We’ll also link to those sources in the PDF and any future digital releases.

This has been a long time coming, and I've talked about it in the prototyping and designing threads, but I'm finally on Kickstarter! Just the pre-campaign landing page, but it's a step!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/527566924/heckin-hounds

Heckin Hounds is a competitive trick taking game where you can't see what cards are in your hand, and you're trying to win as few tricks as possible. Thematically you're trying to avoid walking bad dogs for Hades in the Underworld. It's super cute and light, but also with a ton of meta-game and trick takey goodness if you're into that.

The Hammer and the Stake - a new RPG where 1920s era Eastern European socialists fight a tyrannical government led by Count Dracula!

quote:

There is a spectre haunting Europe...

Following the Great War and the disastrous Treaty of Trianon, Count Dracula (THE Count Dracula) engineers a fascist vampire-coup in Hungary and Romania and establishes himself as the autocrat of the newly created Nagy-Magyarország ('Greater Hungary' pronounced 'naj mash-aro-shahg').

The players are proletariat freedom fighters, working to overthrow Dracula's despotic regime. The threat is very real; Dracula's magic is powerful enough to make manifest the worst fears of Marx. Time is of the essence. If Dracula's minions are left unchecked, the people will literally lose their identities and become lumpenproles - beaten down degenerate servants of the Dracula regime.

You play one of the heroic socialists fighting to liberate the people from both the invisible hand of Adam Smith as well as despotic vampire overlords led by Dracula himself.

You have to fight, not only for your freedom, but for your identity.

...and if you can't wrest the means of production from the leeches, you and yours are going to burn it all down. To. The. Ground.

Looks like a great little dice worker placement game, and it has cute as poo poo metal tins with wooden tea leaves :allears:

Pretty cheap at $40 USD. There's a ton of videos up so choose your poison.

Also has some gorgeous clippable dice trays as addons.

Honestly you should back $1 to get pledge manager access for the trays alone I reckon.

Both of the Chai games look really interesting to me so if I back for $1 I'm definitely going to end up spending over $100 to get both games and some trays. I really don't need more games but look at those tea leaves!
